This event is part of the National Gallery of Ireland's Youth Festival.
The National Gallery of Ireland Youth Panel presents three different creative expressions throughout the Gallery. Each performance responds to an artwork or space in the Gallery and takes place over 30 minute intervals.
• 5.30pm - Sarah Thompson, ‘In the Gallery’ and ‘Two Lovers’ songs - Singing acapella in response to Thomas Bridgford’s Two Lovers in a Landscape (Room 19).
• 6pm - Manuel McCarthy Valderrama, ‘Unravelling Painting’ - A durational performance unravelling a piece of fabric in front of Guercino’s Saint Joseph with the Christ Child (Room 26).
• 6.30pm - Evan Wilson, ‘Via Dolorosa’ - A zen-walk through the Gallery, inspired by the performance style of queer artist Tom McGinty, aka the Diceman.
To note:
- The Youth Festival 2025 programme is a collaboration between the Gallery and young people.
- As part of the Youth Festival, young people ages 16 to 25 receive a 10% discount in the Gallery Shop across the week. Identification, including young adult leap card and/or student card, may be required.
