A phased reopening of the Gallery began on 22 June 2020. 

The safety of our visitors and staff is our paramount concern and continues to be central to our reopening plans.

The Gallery is closed 24–26 December, inclusive, and Good Friday. Opening hours are subject to change, and entry to the galleries ceases 15 minutes before the Gallery closes. Admission to the permanent collection is free. Some temporary exhibitions carry a charge. Exhibitions are free for members.
