Emily says: "My name is Emily and I am 11 years old. I love growing plants and drawing them. I have two cats, Todd and Skittles, who often distract me from doing art. They can be a bit annoying!

I took a black and white Polaroid photograph of my friend Zara in my local park and used acrylic paint to create the portrait. This is the third portrait I have painted with acrylics and my first in monochrome. It was pretty challenging! I have re-created the full Polaroid photograph by including its white border."
