Join artist Nicola Sedgwick for a guided drawing session in front of Nicolas Poussin’s The Lamentation of the Dead Christ

With Nicola’s expert guidance, you’ll explore the painting’s composition, form, and technique as you create your own sketches.

The Gallery provides drawing materials, though you’re welcome to bring your own. Drawing the Collection is a monthly event, offering the opportunity to sketch in front of a different masterpiece each session.

  • The meeting point is Room 41.
  • Easiest access is via the Merrion Square entrance to the Gallery but ask any member of staff for directions.
  • Seating and materials are available for this event in the Gallery rooms.
