Join us online for this free introduction to our exhibition, Picasso: From the Studio

The National Gallery of Ireland, in collaboration with the Musée Picasso national-Paris, is delighted to present Picasso: From the Studio, a major monographic exhibition of the work of Pablo Picasso (1881-1973), proudly supported by KPMG Ireland, Exhibition Partner. This introductory talk will be delivered online via Zoom Webinar by Exhibition Curator Janet McLean.
This talk will explore the exhibition in detail. Picasso lived surrounded by his art. His personal life and his work, his homes and his studios were always intimately linked. The exhibition places Picasso in the context of his studios, highlighting the various facets and phases of his art and life. It will explore the key locations that defined him, from his arrival in Paris at the start of the twentieth century to his studio in Villa La Californie (1955-1961) in Cannes. The exhibition will feature paintings, sculptures, ceramics, and works on paper, as well as photographic and audio-visual works.

  • This free talk will take place online via Zoom. Login details will be contained in the e-mail booking receipt.
  • The talk will be recorded and made available on the Gallery's YouTube channel until the exhibition ends. This event will be accompanied by an Irish sign language interpreter.
  • There will be time for questions after the talk
