We are delighted to host an event as part of International Uilleann Piping Day, a global celebration of the unique Irish pipes, in collaboration with Na Píobairí Uilleann.

Internationally renowned Dublin piper Mick O'Brien will deliver a performance and brief explanation of the instrument before bringing the group through the gallery, with tour guide Fergus Byrne, to explore some of the representations of music in art in our collection.

  • Meet your tour guide in our Courtyard, near our Merrion Square entrance.
  • Read our Visitor Guide for details of what to expect on your visit to the Gallery.
  • All public tours are fully accessible to people who are hard of hearing and use a tour guide system with T-loop capabilities.
