Seán says: "My name is Seán Lynch and I am 15 years old. I love art and design and I am always looking for new artistic ways to express my creativity and imagination. During the lockdown, I have spent a lot of time improving my art and I have really enjoyed it.

My portrait is of my Finnish grandad who I call Ukki in Finnish. I chose to draw him as I am very close to him but, unfortunately, I have not been able to visit him this summer due to Covid 19 restrictions. I enjoyed exploring a new medium of ballpoint pen on paper which is not often used in portraiture and I feel I have captured my grandad's calm and thoughtful character in this portrait. My grandad is turning 80 early next year and the drawing will be a special birthday present for him."
