The Freedom of Information Act 2014 asserts the right of members of the public to obtain access to official information to the greatest extent possible, consistent with the public interest and the right to privacy. Freedom of Information requests must be made in writing and addressed to: The Freedom of Information Officer, National Gallery of Ireland, Merrion Square, Dublin 2 or by email to: [email protected].

The request must state clearly that the request is made under the Freedom of Information Act 2014, specify the records being sought and the manner of access sought i.e. copy of record or opportunity to view record and be accompanied by the appropriate fee, where applicable.
