As part of the Picasso: from the Studio exhibition programme, join us for this in-conversation event with Janet McLean, Curator of Modern Art.  Janet will be joined by Education Officer Caomhán Mac Con Iomaire and will explore a selection of Picasso’s works from the exhibition, offering insights into how the show came together and examining the studio not only as a site of artistic creation but also as a vibrant social space.

  • The talk will take place in the Education studio and will include tea/coffee biscuits and plenty of chat!
  • The Education Studio is on level 1 of the Gallery and is fully accessible by lift from the Clare Street Entrance. It is at the same level as the Merrion Square Entrance. Toilets, accessible toilets, baby changing, and a Changing Places facility are located near the Studio and the Education Team are on-hand to support.
  • This event is part of our Tuesday Talk and Tea series, an informal discussion about an aspect of the Gallery’s collection or an exhibition. It involves a short illustrated talk followed by a discussion with the audience over a cup of tea (or coffee, of course!).

The exhibition is organised by the National Gallery of Ireland in collaboration with the Musée national Picasso-Paris.

Proudly supported by KPMG Ireland, Exhibition Partner.

The Gallery would like to thank the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport for their ongoing support.
