01 February 11.30 - 13.30

Location
Shaw Room
Admission

Free

Explore your creative side in the Gallery’s iconic Shaw Room at this drop-in family workshop, inspired by St Brigit's Day.

Join Artist Karen Peakin to celebrate St Brigit’s Festival and create your own patchwork quilt inspired by Gerard Dillon’s Little Green Fields. Families will be invited to explore paper weaving and collage to create patches which can be brought together to form a ‘St Brigit’ cloak.

Take inspiration from the colour and composition of Gerard Dillon’s artwork, on display in the Irish Rooms, to create your patches. Then add your patch together with others to create a St Brigit’s ‘cloak’!

  • Free, no booking required. Stay for as long (or as little) as you like.
  • Families with children of all ages welcome.
  • All materials provided.
  • Languages spoken: Irish and English.
