Join artist Edel Campbell for a drop-in workshop taking inspiration from our exhibition, Hilma af Klint: Artist and Visionary.
Sunday Family Drop-in is a weekly inclusive, accessible, intergenerational workshop. Devised to support creative engagement for children of all ages and abilities, these sessions are led by an invited artist and supported by the Education Team.
This month join Edel Campbell for a session inspired by the drawing techniques of Hilma af Klint. Explore automatic drawing, letting lines and shapes appear freely, without planning what to draw. Then experiment with scale, enlarging small drawings and shapes onto a larger surface. Together, we’ll play with lines, shapes, repetition and abstraction to create our own imaginative artworks!
All materials are provided, support is available in English or as Gaeilge, but as activities are rooted in creative expression, with visual cues, models and examples, children of all nationalities can participate fully.
- Free, no booking required. Stay for as long (or as little) as you like.
- Families with children of all ages welcome.
- All materials provided.
- Languages spoken: Irish and English.
Tá cainteoir Gaeilge ar fáil más fearr leat an cheardlann a dhéanamh trí Ghaeilge – There is an Irish speaker available if you prefer to do the workshop through Irish.
Hilma af Klint: Artist and Visionary is organised in collaboration with The Hilma af Klint Foundation.
Presented by Key Capital at 25.
Funded as part of the Culture Programme for Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2026
