Enjoy some time out and join us for a free guided tour at a slower pace.

Looking closely and moving quietly and mindfully through the Gallery spaces, and the exhibition, Turner as Inspiration, we will encounter each work with curiosity, allowing us to connect deeply with it. The tour will end with quiet reflection in silence and stillness.

  • Meet your tour guide in our Courtyard, near the Merrion Square entrance.
  • Please read our Visitor Guide for details of what to expect on your visit to the Gallery.
  • This tour is fully accessible to people who are hard of hearing and will use a tour guide system with T-loop capabilities.

What is mindfulness?

Mindfulness is deliberately pausing and paying attention to the present moment, without judgment. It gives us time to connect with ourselves and the world around us, fully experiencing what’s going on. We can practice mindfulness by spending time looking at an artwork, and it can be a very helpful tool to calm and settle our busy minds. See some of our online mindfulness resources and videos.
