Drawing the Collection takes place monthly in front of the artworks in the Galleries. These sessions offer an opportunity to explore artworks, artists, media, and styles through drawing, under the guidance of a tutor.

Join us for a drawing workshop inspired by the works on paper featured in the Rembrandt to Matisse - A Celebration of European Works on Paper exhibition. Artist Edel Campbell will provide guidance and tuition based on the artworks on display. Participants will have the opportunity to experiment with a variety of drawing media represented in the exhibition, while also learning more about the works and the artists who created them.

All drawing materials will be provided. Participants are also welcome to bring their own dry drawing materials if they wish.

  • The sessions will take place at 1pm and 3.30pm and will last 85mins.
  • The meeting point is the Atrium.
  • Easiest access is via the Merrion Square entrance to the Gallery but ask any member of staff for directions.
  • Seating and materials are available for this event in the Gallery rooms.
  • Tickets cost €5. Concession rates available for seniors and Friends of the Gallery.
