About the artist:
Gearóid O'Dea is a Dublin based artist. His practice focuses on mark making across painting, sculpture and drawing to explore cognitive function and anxiety. His current work is informed by personal experience and research. It draws parallels between the attentiveness of mark making and the act of being present. Using gouache, oil paint, oil stick, coffee and coloured pencil, the works emphasise meticulous detail and blended physical forms, inviting viewers to pause and reflect.
