Drawing the Collection – Historical Figures in the Grand Gallery

Drawing the Collection takes place monthly in front of the artworks in the Galleries. These sessions offer an opportunity to explore artworks, artists, media, and styles through drawing, under the guidance of a tutor.

This month, join Nicola Sedgwick as she focuses on historical figures in the Grand Gallery. There is a wide variety of characters to choose from, ranging from figures in ornate regal costumes to those dressed in less flamboyant attire.

  • This class is suitable for beginners and more experienced artists.
  • The sessions will take place at 1pm and 3.30pm and will last 85mins.
  • Participants must book in advance.
  • All materials are provided by the Gallery. Participants are also welcome to bring their own dry drawing materials if they wish.
