Join artist Fergus Byrne for a tutored drawing session inspired by a work in our permanent collection.

All basic drawing materials will be available; however participants are welcome to bring their own. For this class, we will be taking inspiration from The Opening of the Sixth Seal by the Irish artist Francis Danby (1793-1861) on display in Room 21.  

  • The meeting point is Room 21 (level 1).
  • Easiest access is via the Merrion Square entrance to the Gallery but ask any member of staff for directions.
  • Seating and materials are available for this event in the Gallery rooms.
  • Tickets cost €5. Concession rates available for seniors and Friends of the Gallery.
