Join us as we celebrate on Friday 18 September!

We're excited to be joining in the fun of Culture Night again this year with a wide range of family-friendly activities throughout the Gallery.

We'll be partnering once again with the French Embassy on the interactive art display Painting Mirrors, when our historic façade will be lit up by a digital display of portraits taken on the night in our special photo booth. Fun for all ages, join in and have your portrait captured and instantly mirrored on the Gallery walls in the style of some of the iconic artists in our collection, all set to a live DJ set from Shrem!

From 5pm until 8pm on the night, we'll have regularly scheduled guided tours with different themes and focuses, including Family Favourites, French Food in Art, explorations of LGBTQIA+ art, and accessible tours.

Other highlights of the evening include a printmaking workshop with JANDO, a musical performance by harpist Pilar Paradela, and a number of events as part of our programme, Art, Migration and the Politics of Belonging. Our cafe will be serving a Culture Night menu of food and drink, and will have music from Sam Hardiman, fresh off the stage at Electric Picnic.
