Luna loves art, and we bet you do too!

In this video, author Joseph Coehlo reads his book Luna Loves Art, encouraging all children to explore their local art galleries. Then, Fiona Lumbers, the book's illustrator, shows you how to make a flower collage inspired by one of the National Gallery of Ireland’s best-loved paintings, The Goose Girl by Stanley Royle.

Recorded video. Length 19 mins. Suitable for children aged 8 and under.

Watch the video here on our YouTube channel - available from 10am on Saturday 15 May.

To make the collage, you will need:

  • Scraps of paper in blues, greens, yellows and browns (they could be from a newspaper or magazine)
  • Sheet of white A4 paper
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Glue stick

This video is a collaboration between the National Gallery of Ireland and the International Literature Festival Dublin to celebrate National Drawing Day.
