Public Family Tour: Art, Migration and the Politics of Belonging

This free public tour, tailored especially for younger visitors, invites audiences to explore the Gallery's collections and exhibitions through the themes of migration, citizenship, identity and belonging. 

Researched and developed by art historian Dr Kathryn Milligan and delivered by experienced Gallery guides, this tour will uncover stories of movement, exchange, displacement and cultural connection in Ireland and beyond. Using the national collection and Gallery exhibitions, this tour will encourage visitors to consider how art can reflect evolving ideas of nationhood, community and personal identity through time and place.
