General Gallery opening hours

Monday: 11am – 5.30pm
Tuesday to Saturday: 9.45am – 5.30pm 
Sunday: 11.30am – 5.30pm

Please note: The Gallery, including temporary exhibitions, begins to close at 4.50pm daily, starting with the upper floors.

 

Gallery Shop opening hours

Monday: 11am – 5.15pm
Tuesday to Saturday: 9.45am – 5.15pm 
Sunday: 11.30am – 5.15pm

To access the Shop, visitors must enter via the Gallery's Merrion Square entrance and follow our one-way system.

 

Indoor Gallery Café opening hours

Monday – Saturday: 11am – 3pm
Sunday: 11.30am – 3pm

To access the café, visitors must enter via the Gallery's Merrion Square entrance and follow our one-way system.

The Gallery is closed 24–26 December, inclusive, and Good Friday.

Opening hours are subject to change, and entry to the galleries ceases 15 minutes before the Gallery closes. The Gallery, including temporary exhibitions, begins to close at 4.50pm daily, starting with the upper floors.

Admission to the permanent collection is free, but all visitor must book a free general admission ticket in advance. Some temporary exhibitions carry a charge. Exhibitions are free for members.
