Sunday Family Drop-in Workshop: Harlequin Diamonds

Join us for a free drop-in workshop in the Gallery's magnificent Shaw Room with artist Michelle Hall.

Do you know what a Harlequin is? Harlequins were famous for their brightly coloured diamond-patterned costumes and this week we'll look at the drawing Two Harlequins by Edgar Degas, which is currently on display as part of our Print Gallery exhibition Rembrandt to Matisse: Celebrating European Works on Paper. Inspired by the performers' outfits, you'll use a range of materials to design your own colourful artwork using diamond shapes!

Sunday Family Drop-in is a weekly inclusive, accessible, intergenerational workshop. Devised to support creative engagement for children of all ages and abilities, these sessions are led by an invited artist and supported by the Education Team.  

All materials are provided, support is available in English or as Gaeilge, but as activities are rooted in creative expression, with visual cues, models and examples, children of all nationalities can participate fully.
