Ar mhaith leat a bheith páirteach i gcomhrá trí Ghaeilge faoi thaispeántas sa Ghailearaí?

Is imeacht míosúil ar líne i nGaeilge é Ciorcal Comhrá agus is deis é labhairt le foireann na Gailearaí faoi obair sa bhailiúchán nó faoi thaispeántas. Tá níos mó i gceist le portráidíocht ná cosúlacht. An mhí seo, beimid ag fiosrú coincheap na portráidíochta agus a ról sa tsochaí inniu. Beidh Geraldine O’Neill ina healaíontóir rannpháirteach. Féachfaimid siar ar phortráidí ó thaispeántais san am atá thart, pléifimid portráidíocht ar bhealach níos leithne, agus breithneofar conas a léiríonn an portráid an saol comhaimseartha.

Tá an ócáid saor in aisce, ach ní mór duit áit a chur in áirithe roimh ré.

Ciorcal Comhrá is a monthly online event in Irish and is an opportunity to talk to the Gallery staff about work in the collection or an exhibition.

Portraiture is more than just likeness. This month, we will explore the concept of portraiture and its role in society today. Geraldine O’Neill will be a participating artist. We will look back at portraits from past exhibitions, discuss portraiture more broadly, and consider how the portrait reflects contemporary life.

The event is free, but you must reserve a place in advance.
