A creative writing workshop inspired by our exhibition Vermeer Visits.
Join this practical workshop exploring how art can emerge from the quietest and most intimate moments, such as the one that we see in Vermeer's Woman Writing a Letter with her Maid. Our workshop facilitators, drawn from University College Dublin and Trinity College Dublin, will look at how private documents, such as diaries and letters, can guide a creative exploration of the everyday in words and images. Workshop participants will be invited to experiment with paper, pencils, scissors and glue to write about and graphically represent their day, recomposing these experiences as an artistic expression.
Vermeer Visits is proudly supported by Friends of the National Gallery of Ireland
