Talk and Tea: Curating Vermeer Visits

Join Dr Lizzie Marx, Curator of Dutch and Flemish Art at the National Gallery of Ireland, for this informal  talk about the exhibition Vermeer Visits. In this exhibition Mistress and Maid from the Frick Collection in New York and the National Gallery of Ireland's Woman Writing a Letter with her Maid are displayed in Room 38, providing an unprecedented opportunity to view both works by Johannes Vermeer together.

The talk will take place in the Education studio and will include tea/coffee biscuits and plenty of chat!

The Education Studio is on level 1 of the Gallery and is fully accessible by lift from the Clare Street Entrance. It is at the same level as the Merrion Square Entrance. Toilets, accessible toilets, baby changing, and a Changing Places facility are located near the Studio and the Education Team are on-hand to support.

This event is part of our Tuesday Talk and Tea series, an informal discussion about an aspect of the Gallery’s collection or an exhibition. It involves a short illustrated talk followed by a discussion with the audience over a cup of tea (or coffee, of course!).
