The practice of putting charcoal to paper and capturing nature can be a wonderful spiritual experience. Inspired by artist Thomas Gainsborough and his love of the outdoors and his local area, this outdoor drawing session will be led by artist Ellen Kane.
- The session will begin in the Gallery with a brief guided visit to the exhibition Young Gainsborough: Rediscovered Landscape Drawings.
- Outdoors, in Merrion Square park, participants will draw from nature using chalk and charcoal.
- A contingency indoor space will be used if the weather fails to cooperate!
- Materials will be provided. Participants are also welcome to bring their own, if they wish.
