The Education Team

The Education Team manage thousands of bespoke events and activities for all audiences from babies to academics, seven days a week, 361 days a year. While each team member has a core audience they cater for, we work in a highly collaborative manner. The Education Team are:

Sinead Kathy Rice: Head of Education T: 01 6633506 E: [email protected]

Sinéad is the head of the department and manages the education, public and temporary exhibition programmes. She informs content across all audience groups and is responsible for evolving existing programming, establishing research-led practice, engaging new audiences and leading departmental research, evaluation and development.

Joanne Drum: Education Officer T: 01 6633505 E: [email protected]

Joanne manages the administration and running of the department including the Education Volunteers Programme. She established the early years programme at Gallery and leads the development of this strand. She is also responsible for core programming for children and families, adults and life-long learners.

Brina Casey: Education Officer Currently on Leave

Brina manages the Community Engagement Programme. She leads the implementation of tailored projects and resources for community groups, access and additional needs groups and individuals, working in partnership with a wide range of organisations in this sector.

Caomhán Mac Con Iomaire: Education Assistant T: 01 6633610   E: [email protected]

Caomhán manages the lecture theatre and associated programming. He is responsible for informing practical facilitation across all audiences, Irish Language programming, and he leads the development of new strands for individuals and groups with additional needs, specifically visual impairment and dementia.

Caoilte O’Mahony: Education Officer T: 01 6633579 E: [email protected]

Caoilte manages the Teachers and Schools Programme including Transition Year Work Placements. He is responsible for the development and expansion of programming for Young People (16+) and also manages core Community Engagement strands while Brina Casey is on leave.

Kate Drinane: Tours Assistant T: 01 6633510 E: [email protected] 

Kate manages the Gallery guide panel and the significant public and private tours programme catering for all audiences. She also programmes and develops additional public strands including pop-up talks and lectures.
