Friends of the National Gallery of Ireland 

Day Outing: At Home with the Earl and Countess of Rosse.

On Saturday 16 August, Friends are offered a unique opportunity to enjoy a private visit to Birr Castle, Co. Offaly, which will include lunching with the Earl and Countess of Rosse in the castle’s main dining room. Built in 1620 by the Parsons, later Earls of Rosse, the castle today is seat to the 7th Earl and his wife and is not usually open to the public.
