This series of two-hour long drawing classes seeks to cater for people who have some knowledge of drawing and wish to learn about new approaches as well as for those who want to improve their drawing skills in a more traditional way. Folding stools and drawing board will be provided. Participants should bring their own equipment.

Equipment Guidelines:

  • A3 or A4 spiral bound sketchbooks                
  • 2B-6B pencils and coloured pencils
  • Black Conte crayon, putty rubber
  • Compressed charcoal, graphite
  • Canson paper or heavy cartridge paper
  • Masking tape, Pritt stick, fine sandpaper, ruler

Please note: from Autumn 2010 there will be ongoing changes to the display of the collections and to room availability. The course supervisor will keep you informed. Please come to the Clare Street Entrance where you will be directed to the relevant rooms.

Details: Tickets €25 per class, can be purchased from 1 March. Each class is limited to 20 places.
