Lecture by Robert O’Byrne, Historian, Fashion Expert and Witty Social Observer
Robert O’Byrne draws on his most recent book, Luggala Days, to reveal more about the fascinating world that centred on this County Wicklow retreat. Oonagh, Lady Oranmore and Browne, with her sisters Aileen and Maureen, were known as ‘The Golden Guinness Girls’ as they brought culture and conviviality to the grey times of the 1950s.
Lecture at 11am (NGI Gallery Theatre). Coffee at 10.30am and lunch (optional) served in No.5.
This is a Friends of the National Gallery of Ireland talk, Friends may invite a guest (non-member) if they wish.
