Nigel Place is as refreshing a songwriter as you are likely to hear. A troubadour of the 90s Dublin singer/songwriter nights that gave us Damian Rice, Declan O’Rourke and Damien Dempsey, Nigel has himself found his own unique voice and distinct style.
His recent release, “Broadcast To Anyone Who’ll Listen” recorded with producer Len Arran paints a series of snapshots in time, like long forgotten polaroids with a charm that is difficult to categorise. Nigel’s voice was used for Graham Cantwell’s TV drama “The Coalboat Kids” based on Pat Larkin’s series of children’s books. He has toured and played extensively throughout Ireland and UK over the years but his recent appearance as a songwriter on RTÉ’s “The Hit” has brought him to a much wider audience. You can listen to some of Nigel's music here.

Stephen Cummins aka Uke Gnome is an entertainer first and foremost and a gifted ukulele player somewhere around sixth or seventh. His musical influences are the 1920's, 1930's and The Muppet Show. He's a tummeler of sorts, a jester who sees music as the fastest route to collective happiness and the ukulele as the people's instrument: cheap and unpretentious. He has made appearances at the Edinburgh Fringe, Dublin's Ukulele Hooley and multiple venues in London and Dublin. He also busks in markets in Kildare and Dublin.
