Celebrating 25 years of the Volunteering Programme
In 2015, the National Gallery of Ireland celebrated 25 years of its Volunteering Programme. We continue to invite applications from those who wish to volunteer.
Become a volunteer
In autumn 2016, the Gallery will reopen the refurbished Dargan and Milltown Wings. We are inviting volunteers to join our current volunteer team in preparation for our reopening. As part of an enthusiastic volunteer team, you will work alongside professional colleagues, providing valuable support to the Gallery and promoting our vision of an outstanding visitor experience that inspires an interest in, and an appreciation of, art for all. In return we offer you a detailed insight into the Gallery’s collections; invitations to exhibition openings; and the opportunity to meet with like-minded art enthusiasts.
If you think you can commit to our Volunteer Programme for a minimum of four hours per week, for a year, please contact us. We have vacancies in the following roles:
Information Desk Volunteer
The Friends Desk Membership Volunteer
To apply please send a covering letter and curriculum vitae to: firstname.lastname@example.org. A formal selection process is in place and your application will be kept on file if you do not hear from us immediately.
