As part of Heritage Week 2015 the National Gallery of Ireland will hold a series of events on the theme Ireland’s Industrial and Design Heritage. The Gallery’s programme will include talks, drop-in family workshops, tours of special displays, films, and an open day at the NGI Yeats Archive.

A portrait of Dónal Lunny, by artist Nick Miller, was today unveiled (Friday, 17th April, 2015), in the National Gallery of Ireland. The portrait was specially commissioned by the National Gallery of Ireland as part of the inaugural Hennessy Portrait Prize.

The conservation of Jan Wyck's painting, The Battle of the Boyne (1693), is the first major off-site conservation project being carried out by the National Gallery of Ireland, in collaboration with Malahide Castle and Gardens.
