New website now live

Press Release: 02 December 2010

The National Gallery of Ireland is pleased to announce that its new, redesigned website is now live.

Over the coming weeks the new website will be tested and fine-tuned to ensure there are no operational or navigational difficulties. To help us with this process the Gallery invites feedback from the public on the new facility by email ( or by sending through your comments to our social media pages Twitter and Facebook. The Gallery plans to further develop the site and welcomes constructive suggestions.

While refurbishment project works continue in the historic Dargan and Milltown wings of the Gallery, there will be limited access to some of the public galleries, however the new website will be a valuable tool in increasing virtual access at a time of restricted physical access. Users will also be able to download images and information on a wide range of artworks in the collection as well as publications and education material. Access to the online collection, library catalogue and archive collections will follow shortly.

The new site will provide up-to-date information and keep the public informed on day-to-day events and news.

There will be further announcements over the coming weeks regarding the progress of the new website.
