Art@Heart

Art @ Heart – we need you!

The Volunteer Programme team is delighted to announce our Art @ Heart – we need you! volunteer recruitment campaign.

As the Gallery looks forward to the reopening of the refurbished wings of the historic buildings this summer, as well as an exciting programme of events in 2017, we wish to recruit a team of new volunteers to work with our existing panel of enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers.

Volunteers will play an integral part in providing support to staff and in promoting the Gallery’s vision of an outstanding visitor experience that inspires an interest in, and an appreciation of, art for all.  In return, the Gallery offers volunteers the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of art, to develop a variety of skills, to experience working in a gallery environment, to gain detailed insight into the National Collection, to receive invitations to exhibition openings, to have the opportunity to meet with like-minded art enthusiasts, and more!

Ahead of the June reopening of the refurbished wings, the Gallery’s Volunteer Programme team is looking to recruit new volunteers for the following areas: Information Desk, Creative Spaces, and Friends of the National Gallery of Ireland Desk. Further information about each of these volunteer role descriptions, as well as application guidelines, is available below:
