Head of Collections is appointed new director of Chester Beatty Library

Ms Fionnuala Croke, Keeper and Head of Collections of the National Gallery of Ireland, has been appointed the new director of the Chester Beatty Library in Dublin. Ms Croke will take up her new role at the beginning of March.

Responding to the announcement by the Library today (12 January), Raymond Keaveney, Director of the National Gallery of Ireland, says: “We are delighted for Fionnuala and wish her every success in her new role as director of the Chester Beatty Library. Her appointment by the Library is a reflection on the prestige and esteem in which the National Gallery’s professionals are held. She will be sorely missed as a member of the team at the Gallery.”
